Feel like making some changes in your life but don’t know where or how to start?
Are you lacking energy, motivation, or direction?
Maybe you feel like something is missing but you can’t pinpoint what it is.
Or maybe you’re feeling okay but want to ramp up your health, a relationship, purpose or excitement in your life.
I created a Holistic Wellness Inventory to help you take a good look at various elements of your life and see where you’re doing great and where you might want a boost.
I also created a downloadable, printable version of this blog post including all the helpful tips here and…most importantly the wellness inventory!
Click here to download the free Holistic Wellness Inventory Guide now. You’ll find all the info from this article in the guide.
How to complete the Holistic Wellness Inventory:
- If you print the questionnaire, shade or put X’s in the boxes to indicate your rating for each item.
- If you don’t want to print the document, you can number a piece of paper from 1-28 and give each item a score from 1-6 as you see fit.
- You can also simply go through the list and just write down the items that you feel warrant low scores and that you would like to improve upon. Write down a few that you would score high, too, and offer yourself some gold stars!!
- The most important key is to use your own judgement, not what you think anyone else might think or say about you. Also, keep your judgement sensible and realistic. This isn’t about perfectionism or impossible expectations. This tool is meant to help you feel better about yourself as you reflect on your strengths and look forward to your self-development.
How to use your results from the Holistic Wellness Inventory:
Once you’ve completed the questionnaire you’ll have a good overview of your current lifestyle, behaviors and habits that are serving you well, as well as those that could be holding you back from living a life you love.
Celebrate the areas in which you feel strong and already make good choices! It’s so important to honor your successes so far. Each item contributes to a happy, fulfilled and vibrant life.
You should choose only 1-3 areas to work on, and only 1-3 goals, or behavior changes, for each area. One month is a reasonable amount of time to commit to making these 1-3 small changes or steps forward.
Here’s how you can decide on only 1-3 areas:
- You might want to pick the easiest areas which might provide the quickest wins. Don’t underestimate the impact this could have. If you are lacking hydration you could also be experiencing other side-effects. Taking the small step of increasing your water intake might help with headaches, moodiness, sleep, or other factors that might affect your productivity or relationships. You get the picture? Start easy if you want to.
- You might want to select the items most bothersome for you.
- You might want to choose what you long for most.
Here are ideas for setting goals to improve:
- If you’ll be working with me, in our coaching sessions we’ll talk through your results, goals and plans. You’ll have support, guidance, accountability and a cheerleader.
- Otherwise….think of 1-3 small steps you could take to move towards improving one area of your life. You probably already have some ideas, but if not…..
- You could enter an item or issue in the search bar to the right on this website to read other articles I’ve written that might be helpful.
